Reminder of the “YEAR WITHOUT A TRACE” Action

REMINDER OF THE “YEAR WITHOUT A TRACE” ACTION 365 DAYS WITHOUT ANSWERS On April 28, 2026, an international peaceful action “YEAR WITHOUT A TRACE” will be held in honor of Alisher Sakhatov and Abdulla Orusov, whose whereabouts have remained unknown for 365 days. Exactly one year ago — on April 28, 2025 — police came to their home. Not on the street. Not in a public place. But to the place where a person should feel safe. They were taken away — and since that moment, not a single official answer has been provided regarding their fate or whereabouts. One Year of Uncertainty. One Year of Silence. One Year Without Justice. A full year has passed since their disappearance. 365 days without answers. 365 days without information for their families, friends, colleagues, and society. Alisher Sakhatov and Abdulla Orusov were the voice of thousands of citizens of Turkmenistan. They spoke out about human rights violations, injustice, lawlessness, and repression. They raised their voices when many others were forced into silence. Now the time has come for thousands of voices to speak for them. We Call on Everyone to Join the Action The Human Rights Platform of the Civil Movement “Dayanç” / Turkmenistan calls on all those who care about justice, human rights, and the fate of disappeared activists: On April 28, Take Part in the Action: 📍 If you are able to attend in person: — Go to Turkish diplomatic missions; — Go to United Nations offices; — Go to Turkish educational institutions; — Go to other official public locations in your city. 📍 Forms of Participation: — Single-person picket; — Collective demonstration; — Peaceful gathering. 📍 If you cannot attend in person: — Record a video statement; — Say: “365 days without answers. Where are they?” — Take a photo with a sign; — Publish a video or photo in support of the action. 📍 If you cannot show your face: — Use a sign, silhouette, voice-over, or anonymous filming. All Actions Must Remain Strictly Peaceful Our strength is in truth. Our strength is in solidarity. Our strength is in refusing to allow enforced disappearances to become normal. Where Is Alisher Sakhatov? Where Is Abdulla Orusov? Until there is an answer — we will continue asking this question.
