OFFICIAL LETTER OF APPRECIATION To the Editorial Team of Radio Azatlyk (Turkmen Service of Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty)

OFFICIAL LETTER OF APPRECIATION To the Editorial Team of Radio Azatlyk (Turkmen Service of Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty) Dear Editorial Team and Leadership of Radio Azatlyk, On behalf of the Human Rights Platform of the Civil Movement “Dayanç” / Turkmenistan, the Public-Political Organization DVT (France), and the Coordinating Council of Democratic Forces of Turkmenistan (Toronto, Canada), we extend our sincere gratitude and deep appreciation for your many years of dedicated service. For decades, Radio Azatlyk has remained one of the most important independent sources of information on the real situation in Turkmenistan, continuing to deliver the truth despite severe censorship, pressure, repression, and the systematic suppression of freedom of expression. Your work is of immense value not only to the citizens of Turkmenistan, but also to the entire international community seeking an objective understanding of developments in our country. Thanks to your professional, consistent, and courageous work: numerous human rights violations are documented; facts of political persecution, repression, and abuse of power become known; international human rights and democratic institutions are able to respond in a timely manner to ongoing violations; historical memory of events that might otherwise be concealed or distorted is preserved. For our human rights and public-political work, Radio Azatlyk’s materials have for many years served as a vital source of information in the preparation of: international appeals; analytical reports; human rights statements; documentation of systemic human rights violations in Turkmenistan. We also express our profound respect to the journalists, correspondents, editors, technical staff, and anonymous sources who—often risking their own safety, freedom, and the well-being of their families—continue to carry out their mission in the name of truth and freedom of expression. Your courage, professionalism, and commitment to journalistic principles deserve the highest respect. Please accept this letter as an expression of our sincere appreciation for your invaluable contribution to the protection of human rights, freedom of information, and the preservation of truth about Turkmenistan. With respect and gratitude, Diana Dadasheva Chairperson Human Rights Platform of the Civil Movement “Dayanç” / Turkmenistan Murat Klychevich Kurbanov Head Public-Political Organization DVT (France) Muhammet Devejinijad Chairman Coordinating Council of Democratic Forces of Turkmenistan Toronto, Canada
